A hierarchical set of variable names meant to describe everything in COSMOS. Each name maps to a variable of a type specified in JSON Name Space variable type constants. Names are restricted to alphabetic characters, and can be no longer than COSMOS_MAX_NAME. Once mapped through use of json_setup_node, these names will be tied to elements of the cosmosstruc.
